Upload your Website
Please choose from the following methods to upload your website:
CuteFTP
- We recommend using CuteFTP to upload your website, but any FTP program will work and many of the settings are the same. CuteFTP can be downloaded by going to:
http://www.cuteftp.com - After installing CuteFTP, double click to open it. By default CuteFTP brings you to the Site Manager. Click the New button in the lower left:

- For the site name, type in Network OS, for the host address type in ftp.yourdomainname.com (ex. ftp.netos.com), type in your username and password, and then click Connect. Once connected, you will see two windows, on the left hand side is the files on your hard drive, on the right hand side is the files on the web server. To upload files, simply drag and drop them from the left window to the right window.

WS FTP
- After installing WS_FTP, double click to open it. First click on the New button, then proceed to fill out the form similar to what is shown here. Remember to use your individual username and password. If you are uploading to a domain, use ftp.yourdomainname.com for the Host Name instead if what is listed here. You may now click OK to connect.
- Once connected, you will see two windows, on the left hand side is the files on your hard drive, on the right hand side is the files on the web server. To upload files, drag and drop them from the left window to the right window.

FrontPage
- OpenFrontPage
- If you have already created a website and wish to upload it, go to step 7. If you are creating a website for the first time, continue on with step 3.
- Go up to the File menu, and choose Open Web. FrontPage will ask you what website you want to connect to. Type in the website name, and then click Open.http://www.yourdomainname.com(note: the http:// is very important)
- The web server will prompt you for a username and password.
- After you edit the file, simply click the Save button, and it will automatically upload the file to the web server. For the default page you wish everyone on the internet to see, name the file default.htm
- If you already have a website created that you wish to upload to our servers, open FrontPage.
- Go to the File menu, and then choose Open Web. Navigate your local hard drive and find the web files. Once you have found the files, click Open.
- Once the website has opened, go to the File menu and choose Publish Web. A dialog box will open asking you where you wish to publish the site to. Type in the address of where you wish to publish the site. For example:http://www.yourdomainname.com
- Click the Publish button. FrontPage will prompt you for your username and password. After you type in your information, FrontPage will get a list of the current files at the domain, and then upload the site to the server.
- After publishing the files to the website, you can continue to modify the website on your local hard drive, and then publish the site again when you want it to go live on the internet. Also, you can modify the website in real time by following the instructions above, starting at step 3.
Internet Explorer
- Open Internet Explorer, and in the address bar, type:
ftp://username:password@ftp.domainname.com/
where username is the username you use to author your site, and password is the password you use. - After connecting to the FTP site you will be able to copy files from your hard drive, and then paste them into Internet Explorer, uploading the files to the web server. You can navigate folders on the FTP site just like you would on your local machine
